We are calling on all those involved in funding and running national clinical audits to support our campaign #makemydatacount.
We were pleased to produce a series of Ophthalmic Practitioner Training webinars. These webinars are suitable for Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists, Optometrists and Ophthalmic Nurses who are keen to undertake or support the OPT programme in their unit.
Contributing surgeons and centres are invited to validate their cataract audit data on the RCOphth NOD Audit website by Wednesday, 24 June 2020.
The NOD audit collects data on cataract surgery performed in England and Wales and provides individual surgeons, healthcare providers and the public with benchmarked reports on performance, with the aim of improving the care provided to patients.
There are 700,000 people in the UK living with glaucoma, an eye disease that without treatment typically causes loss of vision. Over the next ten years, glaucoma cases are predicted to rise by 22% and over 20 years by 44%.
