The clinical leads for ophthalmology departments are a key group of individuals with a challenging remit to lead and help manage their service, tackle problems and drive improvements. The College is keen to support clinical leads with practical information and resources.
Short ‘survival guides’ about important non-clinical skills that support work in areas such as human resources, clinical governance, finance and business will be published periodically.

Clinical leads Forum – useful networking resource
The clinical leads forum is an informal but private online group which mutually supports, shares ideas and learnings amongst the clinical leads community. It is led by Richard Harrad and Catherine Marsh.
It is not obligatory to be a RCOphth member to join the forum group, but you do need to be a Clinical Lead for ophthalmology. The forum provides restricted access to useful documents such as business cases, strategic plans and presentations.
Clinical leads are also able to meet once a year at a networking seminar to share learnings, raise issues and opportunities with RCOphth.
We invite clinical leads to get in touch about what further resources would be useful or how they might be able to contribute more in their role. To get in touch for more information, to join the forum or to suggest additional resources, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
