GIRFT recommendations aim to make best use of theatre time to improve patient care.
Matthew Burton and Jacqueline Ramke would like to invite RCOphth members to take part in a study which aims to identify the “grand challenges” in global eye health.
The NOD and Communications Teams attended workshops and captured footage of speakers and Clinical Lead John Sparrow, showcasing the important impact NOD has made to cataract surgery and how it is recognised by clinicians, NICE, GIRFT and industry as an important safety and research tool.
Since 2012, recruitment to the ophthalmology training programme has been undertaken on a national level and run by the Severn Deanery on behalf of the College. This year ST3 recruitment was paused to reassess the process.
With hospital eye services under increasing pressure, the College has started to look outside of the hospital clinical setting to deliver our examinations.
