In collaboration with the (OTG) Ophthalmologists in Training Group, the College is launching its first podcast series called Eye to Eye. The 30-minute podcasts will be hosted by OTG member Sunil Mamtora and will feature three episodes as part of a pilot series, released bi-monthly.
The first episode launches on Monday 29 July 2019 and will be available to listen to and download on the College website and via Spotify, iTunes and Google. In the opening episode Sunil shares some Annual Congress 2019 highlights where he interviewed Dr Fahd Quhill about his study on the hazards of laser pointers and NIHR Clinical Research Fellow Jeff Hogg on prescribing trends in glaucoma. OTG Chair Kirthi Varo also welcomes the new cohort of ST1s starting specialist ophthalmology training this August and shares some top tips for making the most of your training.
Members and the wider healthcare community can stay up to date with the latest developments in the world of ophthalmology through interviews with clinicians and academic researchers on the latest papers, clinical guidelines and best practice.
The podcast will also feature updates and news from the College; including changes to training and education, examination updates, new releases of clinical and commissioning guidance, the RCOphth’s work to ensure safety and high standards for patients and much more!
