You can now access our newly published clinical dataset for glaucoma procedures, which defines the agreed key information that should be routinely collected for all patients undergoing surgical or laser intraocular pressure lowering procedures.
The dataset has been developed in collaboration with glaucoma societies in the United Kingdom and Ireland (UKEGS) and Europe (EGS), with principles around standardising definitions, minimising data collection burden and electronic medical record implementation at the forefront.
The large volume of real-world data that could be gathered would enable future national and international audits and research to be conducted in comparing and ultimately improving outcomes of the ever-expanding range of glaucoma interventions.
We look forward to working with the electronic medical record providers to help facilitate their users with the recording and extracting of this information.
