Introduction to Phacoemulsification course 5-6 March 2020

Start: 5th March 2020

End: 6th March 2020

Type: Skills Course

Description: This 2-day course is designed to serve as an introduction to phacoemulsification cataract surgery for ST1 and LAT trainees who have completed the EyeSi courseware A and B training. The focus will be on hands-on practical experience with only short introductions to each topic followed by practice on a variety of model eyes. We guarantee that each trainee will have the opportunity to complete at least 10 phacoemulsification procedures over the 2 days. The course is only open to doctors who have been appointed to a ST1 post in 2019, but who are not starting until February 2020. A limited number of places will also be open to overseas trainees. Please note you will need to complete your EyeSi Courseware A&B training prior to attending the course, no matter what post you are in. If you are an overseas trainee without access to EyeSi simulator, you may wish to book 2 days of EyeSi sessions at the College and then attend the Phaco course for a price of £1,500.
