A two-day interactive course combining lectures and practical work. This is a basic course for ophthalmologists in training designed to highlight curriculum requirements for the FRCOphth exams. It aims to provide an opportunity to introduce or refresh basic skills and understanding of common conditions in oculoplastics in a small group setting. A number of novel models are used to support the teaching. Pig’s heads are utilised to practice some of the procedures. The facilitators will not sign off on portfolio competencies.
