Eye’s 2021 JCR Impact Factor is now 4.456, another big increase from 3.775 in 2020, and now ranks 11/61 in the field of Ophthalmology.

Impact Factor measures a journal’s importance within academia by indicating each article’s average number of citations. It is calculated by dividing the number of citations received by articles published in the preceding two years by the total number of citeable articles. Eye has seen big increases in Impact Factor in the past two years and continues to grow in a variety of other metrics.
